The classical period was between 600BC. and 400bBC.In the classical period greek pottery had design with the most famous stories of the Greek Mythology.

Greek pottery in the classical period is divided in three categories: black figured greek pottery, red figured greek pottery and white background greek pottery.
The lebes gamikos is a form of ancient Greek Pottery used in marriage ceremonies (literally, it means marriage vase). It was probably used in the ritual sprinkling of the bride with water before the wedding.
